Registration may be made on the online booking form or on a hardcopy form downloaded as a rich text format (RTF) file or a PDF file. Please complete the form fully, and legibly, and return it to:

Every participant (including session chair-persons, speakers, etc.) must complete a form.


Registration Fees

The Standard rates apply to members of the Eurographics (The European Association for Computer Graphics) only. For non-member delegates, there is a surcharge of £75.00 which will give you automatically one year's full membership of the Association.

Student bookings are exempt from the UK Tax requirement and this surcharge does not apply to students. To qualify for the Student rates, you must send a supporting letter from your supervisor or course tutor, with your cheque or purchase order.

The Early Bird discount is given to those whose payments are received by the EGUK2000 secretariat on or before 17 March 2000.

Discounts are also given to speakers, that is, 50% for invited speakers (i.e. speakers on 4th and 6th April 2000), and 25% for other speakers (i.e. speakers on 5th April 2000). One discounted speaker per paper only. All speakers' discounts are calculated based on the Early Bird Rate.

The registration fee for the Conference covers:

  • Delegate's pack
  • Conference proceedings
  • Conference reception on 4 April 2000
  • Conference dinner on 5 April 2000
  • Sandwich & refreshments (lunch time) on 4 April 2000
  • Lunches on 5 and 6 April 2000
  • Refreshments during breaks
  • Coaches to conference reception and dinner
  • Administrative costs

Travelling expenses, accommodation, meals (other than those explicitly listed), additional tickets for social events, and ticket to the Computer Graphics Pioneers' lunch are not covered by these fees.


Eurographics Membership

The surcharge for delegates who are not currently a member of Eurographics includes a one year standard EG membership with which one qualifies for EG conference discounts, as well as receives the well-established journal Computer Graphics Forum (CGF) in hardcopy together with electronic access. In the context of CGF, there are also electronic-asssess-only memberships and hardcopy-only memberships. Social Events

The Computer Graphics Pioneers' Lunch is sponsored by the Eurographics UK Chapter, and about 25 established graphics pioneers were invited by Dr. Rob Fletcher on behalf of the EGUK Executive Committee. The event, which includes a 3-course lunch, is also open to other delegates at £15.00 per person.

The Dylan Thomas Centre (Ty Llen National Literature Centre for Wales) has provisionally been chosen as venue for the Conference Reception. It is situated at the award-winning Swansea Maritime Quarter, and is of an easy reach from the Swansea coach station and railway station, as well as by car.

The venue for the Conference Dinner is yet to be finalised. Options which are currently being considered include sea-side restaurants and country parks.

  • Conference Reception: £25.00 per person
  • Conference Dinner: £25.00 per person

Accommodation

University Campus Halls are situated close to the Conference venue. Guests will certainly start the day in the right frame of mind waking up to breathtaking views of Swansea Bay and surrounding parkland. EGUK2000 has reserved a number of bedrooms with en-suite facilities, which will be allocated on the first come first served basis. Bed linen, towels and soap are provided. The rates for each night including breakfast is £31 per single room with en-suite, or £23 without en-suite. There are also a limited number of en-suite twin rooms available in the Campus, and the rate is £52 per room per night.

Swansea Marriott (****) is a superbly located modern hotel, overlooking Swansea Bay and the bright, busy marina, within walking distance to the city centre. It offers guests fine restaurant & bar, satellite TV, tea and coffee tray and its own indoor leisure club. Free car parking. The rate is in the region of £90 per room per night including breakfast.

Payment

All payments must be made in Sterling (UK pounds) drawn on a UK bank. Please make your international bankers draft or cheque payable to:

"Dept. Computer Science, U. W. Swansea"

UK participants may alternatively request to be invoiced by quoting a purchase order number.

Please remember to include your name and reference "EGUK2000" with the payment!

We can also accept major credit cards. Please indicate this method on your booking form, and give your credit card details to Mrs Jill Edwards directly.




Cancellation and Substitution

Substitutions may be made any time before 31 March 2000. A registered delegate who becomes unable to attend may nominate a substitute for EGUK2000. Cancellations can only be accepted if the EGUK2000 Secretariat is formally informed before 31 March 2000. A 20% administration and handling charge will be deducted from any fees refunded.

Note that the advance programme is open to minor changes. The Programme Committee reserve the right to make such changes (when necessary) without notice.
