Nigel John

Dr Nigel W John is a Project Leader for Silicon Graphics Biomedical and is based in Manchester in the United Kingdom. Active in computer graphics since 1987, his current interests lie with developing medical imaging and visualization solutions. Before joining Silicon Graphics, he spent five years in the Chemical / Pharmaceutical industry, and was involved in the development of an early 3D ultrasound system for use in pharmaceutical research. Nigel studied at the University of Bath where he received his BSc degree in Mathematics and Computing in 1987, and a PhD in Mathematical Sciences in 1990 for research carried out in the computer graphics field. Nigel is also a member of the Eurographics UK Executive Committee.
